The father of three young and energetic children, Carlos understands what it's like to watch children constantly cycle through toys. "On average, our kids will be excited about a new toy for maybe three weeks and then it's onto the next thing," says Carlos. "I kept thinking about how wasteful it was with all of the packaging and that constant consumption wasn't a lesson I wanted to teach my kids," he says. With a mission to act as a role model for his own kids, Carlos set out to find an alternative way to provide his children with the toys they wanted without continuing the cycle of buy and dispose. Unable to find any kind of service that fit their needs, the seed for rentAtoy.com was planted.

Through rentAtoy Carlos looks forward to putting more control into the hands of parents. Instead of toy purchasing as an impulse-buy, which makes budgeting for the expense difficult, rentAtoy provides families a simple and organized system by which they can budget for this aspect of their lives.

In his spare time, Carlos enjoys spending time with his family outdoors in San Diego. They enjoy ball games, recreational activities and taking advantage of the city's beautiful climate and many wonderful cultural opportunities.

Wife of rentAtoy.com founder, Carlos Algarin, and mother to their three children, Helen Algarin is a mom on a mission. Her mission? Help other parents simplify their lives and provide the best quality toys and learning tools for their children through rentAtoy.com.

As a mom, Helen recognizes the trial and error involved in the search to find the right toys and learning tools to help children grow and succeed. Helen believes parents need one convenient place where they can find quality toys for their kids. "I think that there is such a vast selection of toys out there," explains Helen. "It can be very time-consuming and difficult to distinguish the good and quality toys from those that are just frivolous. At rentAtoy we're committed to testing a wide variety of toys in order to find the ones that will help your child to develop and grow."

Helen looks forward to providing families with what she believes every parent strives for, "more time to spend together as a family and enjoy each other."

Enabling parents to continually provide toys and games that children enjoy at a more accessible price point is one of the motivating factors behind the operation of rentAtoy.com.

Through rentAtoy.com, John looks forward to simplifying the lives of parents and caregivers by providing them with the necessary outlet to find high quality, safe and durable toys for their children.

In his spare time, John enjoys the ocean, triathlons, dining out and exploring new activities in his adopted San Diego. A native of Pennsylvania, with a large extended family still back East, John is eager to continue his West Coast adventure with the launch of rentAtoy.com. In San Diego, John is actively involved with the Marine for Life Program and the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.

As Communications Director of rentAtoy.com, Michelle brings a refreshing creative outlook and practical business savvy to the team. While locating partnership, co-branding and promotional opportunities for the company, Michelle will ensure that all relationships support rentAtoy's strong commitment to education, safety and creativity.

Michelle looks forward to providing rentAtoy's members with toys that can be both entertaining and educationally challenging at the same time. She understands that parents want toys that promote intelligent playtime, while children will not play with educational toys if they are not entertaining. "With rentAtoy, parents can feel confident that they are providing the best playtime opportunities for their children," offers Michelle. "Through intelligent playtime, parents actively participate in their children's educational process. Outside of rentAtoy, Michelle is a self-proclaimed foodie and enjoys cooking. She also serves as a board member of Sport Support, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing sports and education to orphans in Central America.
